Town & Cities

Ibiza is made up of five equally beautiful municipalities.
3 Cities & Towns near Ibiza are:

* San Antonio Abad
* San Jose
* Santa Eulalia del Rio

We ll start off in San José , which is about 20 km, but should take only half an hour from the capital. Here you can see the iglesia (church), with thick white walls surrounded by the vía crucis (Way of the Cross). The center of San José is not large, given that most inhabitants have moved out to the country.
San Antonio is 15 km from San José and is Ibiza 's most frequented town. You'll know you've reached San Antonio when you get to a roundabout with a big boat on top of it; a controversial homage to Cristobal Colon (Christopher Columbus). Some historians maintain he was born here.
Next, Santa Eulalia can be reached through taking the road that goes from Ibiza to San Juan , which starts at the roundabout where the Puerto Deportivo Ibiza Nueva (Marina) is, close to the famous club Pacha . Things to watch out for in here are the Paseo Marítimo (boardwalk) and the tiny nearby towns such as San Carlos and Santa Gertrudis , which conserve traditions and a more simple, old-fashioned way of life.
Finally, San Juan , the island's smallest town, is where most of Ibiza's forest lands are. The beaches, some of which are really hidden away, are the cleanest you will find. The center is very small in relative to the size if the municipality.
