Summer in Ibiza begins in May and with it comes the first warm beach days with clear sunny days with average daily temperatures in the mid-twenties, ranging between 25 Celsius - 30 Celsius while temperatures at night seldom fall below 20 Celsius. While rain is unusual between the months of June to September, it is not unknown. Summer evenings in Ibiza call for light jackets, short pants, light trousers, jumpers or t-shirts. July and August are the really hot months so t-shirts, short sleeves and short pants are in order. Also popular among the residents are lightweight cotton trousers.

November to April is winter season. Ibiza is not a beach destination during the winter months although because of the island s mild climate, the temperature rarely drops below 0 Celsius. Daytime temperature averages about 15 Celsius - but can rapidly rise to 25 Celsius on the days when the sun comes out. On days like these, one can often find beach bums on the beach, a lot of whom still swim. Ibiza during winter however, is more a time for languorous beach walks, sports, and island tours, than anything else, but in return, the winter tourists have the whole island all to themselves, with deserted beaches without sun beds to spoil the view.
